& ANSWERS OVERVIEW |
 |
We are honored
that you and your teen are interested in learning
more about the Honor Academy. If you have
any further questions we look forward to communicating
with you to answer these and encourage you
in the application process. We welcome you
to begin
your application online today.
The following information and steps will guide
you through the process.

 |
1. How much does it cost?
The Honor Academy costs about $650 a month (ask representative
for a donation schedule). This support is tax-deductible
and includes: housing, meals, books, and all other program
related expenses. Compared to a year of college, the Honor
Academy is very inexpensive and really gives young people
skills to make the most of their college and work experiences.
2. Can I see my teen while they are at
the Honor Academy?
We invite you to be involved in what God is doing with
your young person during their year at the Honor Academy.
We welcome you to visit any time and take part in their
year of transformation.
3. If my teen takes a year before going
to college, is that okay?
We recognize your concerns; the time an intern spends
in the Honor Academy will not only prepare them for the
future through personal development, but they will have
a clear vision for the calling God has for them. They
will walk into college with purpose and direction as opposed
to changing majors multiple times.
4. What is a core group?
A core group is a group of 10-15 undergraduate interns.
A Graduate Intern Core Advisor leads the discipleship
of the core and is available to encourage the interns
in the Core to pursue development and growth.
5. What are the components of the Honor
Academy Program?
The Honor Academy program includes four weekly classes,
practical hands-on experience, and vocational training
in ministry placements and Life Transforming Events that
occur periodically throughout the year. In addition to
these components, interns can be involved in intramural
sports, drama, human video, dance, and worship teams,
along with other extracurricular activities.
6. How many interns attend the Honor
Academy?
The Honor Academy is home to more than 800 undergraduate
and graduate interns.
7. Why are there rules like "no
dating"?
The structure of the Honor Academy Program is designed
to create an atmosphere of radical growth. All of the
rules and structures are established with this purpose
in mind and are intended to help each intern develop into
a leader of honor. Some of the rules, such as "no
dating," are guidelines set up to help undergraduate
interns focus completely on God and avoid distractions
in their pursuit of growth.
8. What is Teen Mania’s belief
about the Bible?
Teen Mania and the Honor Academy believe the Bible to
be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative Word of
God. We believe that there is one God eternally existent
in three persons: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We
believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in
His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and
atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection,
and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe
in the resurrection of the saved to eternal life, and
the everlasting punishment of those who have rejected
God's forgiveness in His Son. We strive to achieve greater
unity in all that we do within the Body of Christ.
9. Is the Honor Academy accredited?
The Honor Academy is not an accredited institution. |
